Birmingham, Ala., September 2, 2015 — AL.com announces its second pop up dinner in Mobile on October 1. The location of the dinner will be the Gulf Coast Exploreum Science Center. Tickets are $125 per person. AL.com members will receive a $50 ticket discount as well as a limited number of annual memberships to the Exploreum, available to the first 50 members that purchase tickets. The pop up dinner will be themed around the Sept. 26 opening of the Exploreum’s “Chocolate: The Exhibit”, complete with a cocktail reception in the exhibit space and a five course, wine-paired dinner with chocolate as the star.

The pop up dinner movement, which initially started in 2011, is intended to promote and celebrate food culture. In just a matter of hours, a non-restaurant space gets transformed into a whole new dinner venue. Attendees get the opportunity to interact in a new communal dinner setting, meet people they otherwise may not have and have the chance to meet and talk with the chef.
