Birmingham-based Alabama Media Group was awarded three international prizes at the Global Media Awards produced by The International News Media Association (INMA) in Washington, DC on June 4, 2018. The awards are designed to highlight energizing news brands, creating products, engaging audiences, developing customer insights, growing advertising revenue, and instilling innovation.

Finalists were selected from amongst 830 entries from 220 media companies in 39 countries. Participants included newspaper media, magazine media, digital media, television media, and radio media.
